May 21, 2014 – Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, New Jersey is scheduled to host a First Green field trip on June 12, 2013 – for the second year in a row. Twenty-five students from Clifton Public School #16 will learn about Golf and the Environment, Golf Course Operations, Plants and the Environment, Water Quality Management, and Technology & the Golf Course.

Golf Course Superintendent Frank Tichenor says, “We are looking forward to seeing this next group of students from Clifton. Last year’s field trip was one of the best days I’ve ever spent on the golf course, and I’m sure that this year will be no different.”

The field trip will have observers, including other superintendents and Regional Field Reps from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).  Kevin Doyle, Regional Field Staff for the GCSAA will be on hand again to assist with the field trip as well. TurfNet TV, a network for golf course superintendents, will be filming the field trip for their broadcasting. Syngenta is the sponsor for the filming.
