Garfield students

November 13, 2009 -  Students from Heather Snookel's Environmental Science classes at Garfield High School visited Broadmoor Golf Club on November 12th and 13th. They toured the course and took water quality samples from the newly constructed irrigation retention pond. Broadmoor's golf course superintendent Sean McDonough, and assistant Steve Link hosted the tour. The students also learned about the history of Broadmoor Golf Club, and the various wildlife species that live on the course. Heather is excited about the opportunity to bring her classes to Broadmoor, and is planning several more visits over the remaninder of the school year.
